In this session we will focus on how to author reports using the Report Designer of Reporting Services 2008.We will create compelling reports using authoring features such as multiple display and parameter options, interactivity, rich text formatting, and a broad variety of charting capabilities. We will look at how to use various data regions to display data: List, Table, Matrix, Chart and (new to SQL 2008) Tablix.

With Report Builder, business users can create their own reports without having to understand the underlying database schema, Transact-SQL or MDX query syntax, or developer tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio

Report Builder works against any database; Microsoft SQLServer, Oracle, Access etc.

It is included for free in SQL Server 2005 Enterprise, Standard, and Workgroup editions.
